How do you get rid of plauges in your cities? I have sewers and shiz but it just wont go away

Hi Rozwell,
Sorry, but you can't - they really are un-preventable other than through population reduction and the construction of health building. Unfortunately, they last for as long as they last, often up to five turns, and there is little you can do for that city. Luckily, however, you can stop the great plague from spreading. This prevention can be done by keeping all your solders in the city and stopping any characters from going in or going out who have the plague. Of course you may want to send your rubbish generals in to catch it, and hopefully die, and your infected spies out into enemy provinces to share your new found infection to help weaken them!

Often if your city is under quarantine then the great plague has much less of a chance of spreading elsewhere and killing even more good and great men.
