It's not so much the concept as the name I take issue with (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6434773.stm)

Does the British government have a sense of humor or do you just not watch the governor's movies on that side of the pond?

It’s a series of satellites that started before the film skynet 2 what launched in 1972 so James Cameron probably got the name from the real thing

The series of Skynet satellites dates back to the early 70's or something. Skynet 5 is just the latest generation.

So they used the name before the movie :beam:
