I 've noticed that the victory conditions for KH in the advisor bubble (when you click the ? button) and on the map screen (screen that comes up when you press the button next to the end turn button) are different. Specifically, the advisor VC do not include anything east of the Greek mainland, or the Macedonian/Epeirote starting provinces.

I 've also noticed that getting command stars with KH is considerably easier compared to the Romani, Qarthadastim and Baktria (i 've only completed campaigns with these factions). I just fought an assault on a Byzantion (sieged for 1 turn, to get the rams) with Akrotatos (3-stars) and a high quality unit/exp stack, 830+ men. The enemy was a Pontian 6-star general with 2 Pantodapoi and another 2 Pantodapoi outside the city walls, 270 men. I won easily, with less than 30 casualties. Akrotatos gained 2 stars from this siege! I fought 1100+ men Gallic stacks with 14 unit Romani stacks (570) and I was lucky if I got 1 star after 3 such battles. :inquisitive:

Well, KH tends to have some pretty rough battles at first, is probably why. I'd trust whichever source has MORE for your victory conditions, personally, but I like the map better...so I go by that at all times...

Go with the map. Yeah, I have kinda noticed that the son of the King Areus has a total of 6 stars with a minus 2 from the lover of beauty line of traits - also he saw the elephant.

I think the Greeks generals get more stars since they pretty much expand in a linear fashion for the most part. First you go north, then you go east and its very easy to use one general to fight all your battles for the most part which is what they seem to get more stars. I think its also due to the fact that EB's command star traits seem to tied to the number of battles fought and not how crazy lopsided they are.

...then number of battles, and the " style ":
Heroïc victories tedns to give more easily command stars.

Currently, in my Seleukid campain, I have a general who fought most of the battles against the Lagid kingdom, and in approximatly 15 years and 30 battles, he gain 6 command stars, with some very good traits.

Yeah, the kind of guy you'll regret when he'll get slain by an infamous assassin...

Just have herd of spies follow him around and it'll be fine. I'd be more worried about getting killed by pirates or some irate Syrokusoi fleet...

Sure, I can understand heroic battles (though they seem to have poor results when fighting with massively outnumbered Roman armies) but I got 2 stars fighting against a much inferior enemy in quantity and quality. 4 units of pantodapoi and a general against a full stack of veteran semi-elite stack.
