View Full Version : Time Zones
I've just noticed that all the times displayed on this forum are an hour fast, despite me having the time zones set correctly (gmt+10 ie. aest)
Is there a problem with the 'dst always off' option or something? :dizzy2:

Mine works.
EDIT: No it doesnt. It was working at the most, 2 weeks ago.
Now its wrong. Just change it to GMT + 9
I'd rather a solution to a quick fix :)

Its not a quick fix though. Mine is wrong now. Had to change it back to + 10.
Very annoying.
Hang on - it's right again now :inquisitive:
Something odd is going on...

Its a conspiracy! :laugh4:
There haven't been changes in the boardsoftware, maybe at the servers end?

Has a DST update been applied yet? USA goes an hour ahead tonight at 2 AM. This is different from past years, so OS and software updates to adjust for this abound. We've been running Hot Fixes to deal with the change over the last couple of days. Maybe a check of updates for your OS/software might yield the reasons for your date issues?

I got a "DST settings are updated" notice when I logged on the org first thing this morning, making me GMT -7. I suspect a server-side update.
edit to add: Just went to another forum using vBulletin version 3.0.13, where I'd selected "update DST settings" and it didn't change my times (still GMT -8).

The USA changed the normal daylight savings time adjustment. It's 3 weeks earlier in spring and a week later in fall. Screws up my sleep patterns every frickin' time, I wish they'd leave it alone. Daylight savings (http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/b.html)
Looks like Europe stayed on the original schedule, so global settings will be skewed.
That may be the case - but it shouldnt' be, as i've got dst set to 'always off'
Must be a broken option or something
Maybe it caused some trouble at the server? That's the place where the board gets the time from.
Check.
EDIT: Fine for me.
