They are an annoying curse for most of us, yet very useful for some of us. You can turn them off in accessibility options.

Sticky keys let you press, for example, control, then alt, then delete to open task manager (instead of having to hold them down at once)

Useless for most people

Hit shift five times to bring up the menu, go into options and select 'disable key combination'

sticky keys are needed for some games especially tetris. It is just horrible to play tetris on harder levels without sticky...

No pb, I didn't intend to fight anyone. If anyone here felt that way please accept my apologies for not having been capable of clearly showing that I was not intending to start a fight!

I find that sticky keys enables itself if I hold shift for about 5 seconds. I may hesitate while typing something holding shift, at which point a weird squeaking sound is heard and the cursed thing is on. It then takes ages to turn the damnable thing off again. :furious3:

@Rythmic: I believe sticky keys also occurs as a direct result of moving your Phalanx while viewing your Pronoiai Allagion, though having not tested it myself I can't confirm it. :beam:

At least on my computer stickykeys doesn't enable unless you actually hit shift 5 times rather than holding it down  :P

Well, I was pulling your leg. And seriously, you said "well, I don't use the shift key this much", in a post without even one capital letter. I was finding this surrealistic and funny, but I wasn't trying to make you ridiculous or something.

My apologies if I have offended you. I might have, if I consider your answer about names.

FYI, sticky keys are intended for people with low mobility. For instance, how would a person who had lost an arm press Ctrl-Alt-Del? Vital windows functionality...utterly essential. Hence, sticky keys. :)
