View Full Version : Timbuktu
How do I get to timbuktu or Arguin? I try but nobody can get there and the terrain type says it's impassable, Arguin isn't even on the map, well it's on the map that came with the game but it's not on the campaign map.:help:
Go along the mountains east of Marrakesh. You'll find a narrow pass leading into the hot Saharan sands. From there it's a long, long trek across the burning desert. If Timbuktu is under Moorish occupation, make trade rights with them and send a bunch of merchants there right away. If not, send a small fast force to take it from the Rebels. The gold, slaves and ivory there is well worth it.
To get to Arguin go west from Timbuktu, along the African Sahel. You won't be able to arrive by sea until you get Carracks. There's some gold/slaves/ivory here as well, so it's worth the trip.
I've already found that passage, but my people won't go there.
It's a narrow path through the sand. If you click off it, you get the X. Took me a while to figure it out.
Here's a pic showing two paths into the desert (click):

@xehh - turn fow off and click near the city, holding the right mouse button down until a clear path is plotted for your army and you'll be able to get through no problems
I don't know how to turn fow off.

click on the "~" button (to the left of the "!" or "1" button on your keyboard)
watch the console open
type in "toggle_fow" (without the "")
Repeat to reenable fow
That's right (although you want to hit the ` button, not the ~ button - it probably won't work)

As an alternative, if you scroll to the bottom of the screen you should see a pair of shackles at the very bottom about a 6th of the way in from the left edge. Click by those and your army will automatically head there.
If you already hold Marakesh, your army will head through the mountains to the south east of the city. If you are coming from the East, there is a pass through the mountains along the Eastern boarder of Marakesh province that heads down there.
