View Full Version : M2TW wont install
My computer wont even recognise the game. Why?
this really sucks, I just finally got the game....
Do you mean your machine isn't reading the disk at all and you can't install or the game crashes as soon as you start it?

That one
Assuming your DVD reader works when you try other disks in it, I think you have to try the game in another DVD reader to see if the DVD itself is FUBAR.

Then welcome to my end of the technological swimming pool. :sunny:
The good part is you can get a DVD reader pretty cheap. And you will need it in the future. (As well as right this minute it seems.)

The U.S of A
It will cost around 20 bucks....more than we will have in a few weeks
now its just a question of returning the game, or holding out for god knows how long...
Well, maybe one of your fellow Americans has a good idea for a cheaper option. :unitedstates:
Might as well hold on to the game. You'll need it.
You could always save up your lunch money for a week or two and not eat at school.

Or just steal it from the other kids... (not recommended)
Also, take a loan from your parents. Feed them some crap about being responsible with money or something and that you want to show them that by taking a loan for $30 or whatever. Do whatever it takes! Owning m2tw but not being able to play it is just wrong!
19 or 20$ shouldn't be all that much, you may really want to ask your family whether they could help you out and loan it or so.

I pay 40 cents a day. Great way to get four dollars.

They dont have $30 either. Besides, that crap fails on them.

They have decided to get one in about two weeks

Good deal. Another question for you Motep: Since you don't have a DVD drive, are you sure the rest of your hardware in your computer has the horsepower to run m2tw? I just want to double check. I hate for you to spend money on a DVD drive and then the rest of your hardware wont be able to run m2tw.

We are kinda poor. Its not like my mom does not make alot of money, it's just that there are 6 people to provide for, heavy doctor bills, house bill, and other @#$%ed up bills. I'd be lucky to get a $40 vidio game for my birthday, let alone a computer.
Heh, his mother wont let he mod.

Hey man, why don't you post your specs and we will tell you what you could upgrade for real cheap to make it better. At least have a wish list or something...
Eh...im sick of loking for them now. Anyways, the wish list thing is always blatantly ignored.

Dude, post your specs. I may have a mobo, processor and ram coming free in a week or so. And if they are better than yours now, you are welcome to them. They run M2TW at the mo, so they maybe of use to you.
Talking about M2TW
I had read about requirement and I dont meet the lesser than minimum.
:shame:
Oh @#$%! I only have half of what the game needs (minus hard disk space)
Ram:256
64 Mb
128 DDR
300-some gigs hard disk space

I'll be having an Athlon Thouroughbred 2000+, Asus A7N8X-X, 1* 512Mb PC2700 and 1* 512Mb PC3200 and a PSU coming free soon. If they are any good to you I'll post 'em as long as the shipping costs aren't a killer (heh, maybe not a good idea to send the PSU then  )
Maybe someone else may have an old dvd rom or graphics card rotting away in a drawer somewhere?
PM me your zip code and I'll check it out.

Nothing. And I'll cover the postage as long as it isn't crazy. I just hope some other people may have stuff left after upgrading too. :2thumbsup:

I would send the graphics card, DVD-ROM and another stick of 512 - PC2700, except that you guys are in Europe and im in the USA. Yeah, shipping might cost a bit too much...probably more than what all the parts are worth. I do like your willingness to help people out Slug. It has inspired me to help as well.
shipping will cost a lot...
NO!

BlackAxe that would be cool, I am guessing that Motep is in the US. I am in the UK which is why I thought sending the PSU would be a no-no. But sounds like between us we could sort Moteps problem. :beam:
I just need to check postage costs. A mobo, processor and ram isn't heavy.
Im in the U.S... Zip will be mailed to Black Axe
It would be just great to recieve any kind of response on any level.

You may want to PM Slug For A Butt to see how/if this is proceeding. It is likely that he hasn't forgotten you but is still waiting for the upgrade in order to free up the old hardware. I know the feeling, as I've been planning on an upgrade myself for over a year and have yet to find the time/money/inclination to do so as yet.

I'm actually trying to get a delivery price less than £48 ($95). :wall:
But yes, my old hardware isn't free yet either as I'm having a few problems atm with my new hardware.

I however, have much time and inclination....just not the money...I was actually waiting to hear from BlackAxe, as he is far closer to my location and I dont want to cost Slug For A But alot of money.
