Medmod Link

I have been hearing tidbits here and their about this "Medmod". What is it, how good is it, and where do I download it. By the way, I'm playing XL, and so far liking it, except for the fact that spain gets two more provinces, thus allowing it, or who ever controls the iberian penninsular a rather good econimic advantage (I keep having to deal with a rather powerful Spanish faction as the english, french, of germans.)

MedMod is a quite challenging mod. The main difference between it and the vanilla game and the other mods is that there are Homelands in MedMod, meaning that each faction is restricted to which provinces it can build troops in. Faction rosters are unique, but limited (except the Byzantines, they have plenty of everything). I recommend giving MedMod a try once you are bored by XL.
