When editing tags, these become ineffective after the edit.
Happened to me with the quote and with the spoil tags so far.

Example:
I had first and then quick edited to spoil, but it wasn't in spoil tags unless i went to full edit and pressed submit (without having to modify the post)

Hi FactionHeir,
I know the problem. However, don't worry, it still works! It just requires you to refresh the page to be able see it.

I don't believe you.

Mate, it works ;)

Not sure what your problem is, but all this was written in a quick edit

Hi FactionHeir,
I know the problem. However, don't worry, it still works! It just requires you to refresh the page to be able see it.

I did that when I was posting my reply in the citadel but that didn't fix it, but advanced edit did on first try :dizzy2:

Only happens when correcting tags which didn't work before - not for adding new tags into the text

Anyone know the cause?

Will double check with broken tags

Nope, works fine

I had the problem as well. but with certain tags only

The problem is that with certain tags (I think those which hide text in a box) the change does not become immediately effective in your page when you edit it. But as Omanes said, as soon as the page is reloaded, it works just fine. and using the "go advanced" in the edit pane reloads the page afterwards.

I think it is because the quick edit doesn't create new objects in the page (which would probably need reloading), but just changes text/smilies.

Edit: I did add a new "hiding text in a box" tag, it shows the plain text. (EX, SPOIL...)

Just having a look...

EDIT II (back with a vengeance): correct! I was seein the "EX" stuff in my post, got back to the menu and back to the thread, no pb!

EDIT III (holy molly!): actually, whenever you use the quick edit for a post, all the "stuff hiding tags" become written in text! even the ones who were already there! Well, F5 saves the day! :beam:
