I'm in a Scippi campaign with about 22 provinces and the Senate hasn't expelled me yet. That being said, there's been 2 Julii spies found in one of my territories. Will another Roman family start the war before the senate action? What's up with this? Thanks

It's never happened to me, in any of the hundreds of Roman files I've had in RTW. You might get expelled from the Senate, then quickly attacked, but you won't get attacked while you're still ally (I'm assuming) with the other Roman Factions.

Go give 'em a small gift, it helps.

Hi IceWolf,
May I suggest that you check the Julii's popular standing. If it just happens to be eight or above then they could start the civil war at anytime. Hope this helps you, cheers!

How often have you experienced players seen one of the AI factions start the civil war?
In my (quite few) games, I have never seen it happen, mostly because I start before they get the chance.

Hi TEP,
I've only ever seen it happen once in a Scipii campaign. The Julii attacked Rome, and, since I was rather afraid of them - I turned againt the senate and sided with them to aid them in their quest for power. Soon enough, however, it ended up man for man when they cruely betrayed me and I ended up dominating the almighty Roman world.
