I played a Custom battle in which I had 10 Gallioich units (scotland) with 9 experience and a weapon upgrade + 10 Noble Highlanders with 9 experince and a weapon upgrade .vs. 3 armies of the HRE in which each of the armies has 20 town milita and the generel is fully upgraded.
In the battle I won with 291 units left Including my generl and they were routing with about 500 units left all generls dead.
I saved a replay and later on I wathced it. In my replay my generl died and The battle was absoultley differnt why is what?

The replay does not record the exact details of the battle, it just records the composition of both sides, the movements you make and the general movements of the ai. Then when you load the reply it uses all of this to make what you see on screen, but it also uses the games ai to contorl the ai units so whilst they might mostly move the same there can be some big differences between the replay and the actual battle.

The differences can sometimes be so big that you're watching an entirely different battle :grin2:
