As a result of the poll that I ran last week it has been decided to run a PBeM for the Qarthadastim. The game will be run on E.B. 0.81a (full install) and using BI.exe if all who wish to participate have BI. This thread is to recruit E.B. members who want to play, and when we have half a dozen players it will be moved to the throne room.

As regards running the game I will take the character of the Sophet and everyone else will be randomly assigned a character. I will run the campaign and send people the save game for every battle their character fights.

When two or more characters are present the better character will fight, but if he gets the junior general killed then he must offer the other guy the chance to assume his avatar.

All captained armies will be auto-resolved.

Every two years elections will be held to assign chracters to posts. The sophet will be elected every five years. If possible trait cheats will be used to transfer the benifits of being sophet.

No building or recruiting may take place without govenors, however if a character is in a province (But not nesescarily in the city) then they count as the govenor. Characters submit recruitment and building ques, and the sophet decides priorities.

The game will be run on large unit size.

Will anybody who is intersted please P.M. me, however, please post ideas on this thread.

N.B. the faction is locked due to the poll results.

I'm in, however, my copy of BI went missing a few months ago before the BI fix came out so that is sadly uninstalled. I'll try and find it but who knows.

Since save-games are transferable between BI and RTW, everybody doesn't have to have BI to be able to play. Unless you guys specifically want everyone to play on BI that is, but that doesn't seem necessary.

Wasn't there an alpha version of something along this line where it automatically threads the saves through an email after each players turn? I vaguely remember hearing about it but I'm not sure.

Skuzzy, I believe there was a program which permitted a real multiplayer campaign, but it kind of got forgotten, I guess. You should check out the old posts in an RTW modding forum, or just search "RTW multiplayer campaign" or something like that.
That's what you were asking about, right?

I'm thinking of joining, but I have some concerns. Well actually just one, I have very little time in my hands nowadays, so I'm not quite sure if I'dd be able to participate adequately. I really don't want to be the guy everybody is waiting, so how much time this would take on weekly or daily basis? If it's for example an hour or so in couple of nights a week, count me in! More than that I'dd really have to think, and maybe try first.
