Are there any specialized Medieval 2 Web sites with the users gameplay videos, like wow community has.
I'm interested in a good quality vids, which are in resolutions between 500x300-1280x720 in a proper video coded such as xvid, h264 or in similar.
I just want to watch good and cleaver gameplay fights which are long enough for a proper watch.

I wouldn't mind watching some as well - like the MTW horse archer tutorials that people developed for that game. It's nice watching what kind of tactics others use and how they fight.

Yes I dont like videos such as trailers, or tutorials, I would like to watch best of the best vids vith two kick ass players confronting in a varaiaty of fights.
Its would be good that match could be watched in a judge mode, but it would be good in a standard fight view.

I saw lots of fights on youtube but but, as I said I'm searching for something good, like in a higher resolution in a min. 500 lines, and with the proper encoding like in xvid, h.264 and in a proper container like avi, mkv.

It would be good that the player firsly play the match against the good opponent, and of course that he or she saves his moves, and than that he replay the whole match (and save it of course with the fraps or something else good), but, that he try to take the best in a game shots and angles something like in a judge mode look.
And it would be good that he mix in a game sound effects with a 60-67% of a volume, with the external sounds like with the classical or opera music, but please he could choose only the epic sounds of opera or classical music.

Youtube is only for the urgent stuff, with the lame flv shockwave encoding and with the low resolution. Its not created for enjoyment, you cant even watch it and its too far from enjoying in a visual.

Its a shame that the game such as Medieval 2, hasn't built a passion in a hearts of a players, to create the video shots of their gamplays like a legacy for the future.

I agree. Id love to watch battles. If such a thing doesn't exist, we should make it exist.

There is no need to make a movie. MTW2 creates a replay file for the battles, which is overwritten by the next game. If you copy/rename the replay file you can watch it in a resolution and quality of your choise.

There are many reasons, like to promote the game, or to watch the gameplay on a external player, or to show to the gamers without the strong machine the beautiful gameplays of twm2, there are hundreds of reasons. Its better.

Yes its a really good site specialized in a Medieval 2, but, just the one important thing is missing, if the vids are in a proper codec and higher resolution it would be perfect. You cant see.
And one more thing, I newer saw a (real) fight between two extra players on total-war-campaign-chronicles
I see only fight between one player and computer, or I think the second player is the computer.

You might wanna be interested in Tournament TV - City Under Siege.
You can watch the entire finale battle of this tournament taking place on a battlefield specifically designed by Creative Assembly for that tournament.

Altough the battle is not really tactical as we are used to, because of the specific rules it's more like a race against eachother's time. But it's fun and the commentators are sometimes funny, especially with the elephants, they're hilarious.

That was frankly embarrasing to watch. No wonder gaming is seen as a joke.

I watched the Tournament TV - City Under Siege, just a few good things about this video. First its view, is in a Judge mode which is good, second the resolution is small but you can watch it without the problems which is also good.
Bad things are, the map is bad, the city is bad, tactics is really bad, from the both players, one of the players is better but he is too far from the good player and a good tactician.
Jokes are really bad.

Try Medieval II Total War Heaven download central here. These are battle replay files, so you're not watching them as videos in an external player but load them as battle replays from within your game. You can zoom, pan, pause etc. so no quality concerns.

I used to download a lot of RTW multiplayer battle replays from here and learned a lot. I haven't downloaded any MTW2 replays yet because I haven't been playing the game out of disgust for its unpatched state but judging from past RTW experiences, the players are generally pretty good. You can learn from them.

Not to mention, with patch 1.2 coming out tomorrow I may get back into the game!

Whoever decided to set the forum up without the ability to edit your own posts is a GENIUS. For the record.

Anyway, posting the correct link:

Don't worry. You can edit your posts once you are no longer a "Junior Member" although don't ask me how or when that occurs.
Great links by the way.
