Actually, some of us detest camels, which is fine with Mithrandir as it means all the more for him.

If you had included heffalumps and woozles, I would have voted.

Well of course I had to vote for camels! Aside from my being a disciple of Mithrandir (~D), those beasts have more than proved their worth in my countless Eygptian campaigns over the last 4 years. It's true they own a face that only a mother could love, but for me they're proof positive that beauty is only skin deep. ~;p

Definitely camels. I have lately realized just how good they can be. In MTW: VI, I recently launched an Elmo hard campaign and dominated with them. Berbers out of morocco are good, as are bedouins. I launched a 2,255 man expedition against Eggy, who had a 7 command general and 2,300 adequate troops. Roughly 940 of my troops were some variation of camel. I trounced them off the field, took the hill overlooking there route onto the battlefield, and the Eggy ended up falling back all together with me losing only 120 men. BTW, they were cut in half by the turks and were pinned to a last province. Thus, with losing only 120 men, I extinguished a 2,300 man army and a 7 command general.

That's just begging for trouble. My experience with forumadministrators is that they often tear up your furniture, piddle on your carpets, and can just be really expensive pains at times. Their smaller cousins, the subforummoderators, are usually even worse... Usually bad tempered and will bite anything/anyone, they also tend to poop in/on newer areas of one's living premise, and will often bark loudly all night and wake up other irritable sumforummoderators who will do the same at all hours of the morning.

These are NOT pets that one should keep if unexperienced or unprepared. Highly recommend you crate them if you must get one. Last and certainly not least, be ABSOLUTELY sure you have them spayed/neutered to help population control, and make certain to get the required rabies vaccine shots, which seems to be a common ailment in these breeds.

You're lucky to have anything at all, if it was my decision you'd be down there clawing it out with your bare hands, luckily for you, Assistant Moderator Martok is a fair man and provides you with equipment and daily rations at the .org's expense as well as a 10 minute break ever 24 hours. If it is observed that you are behaving more kindly towards the camels I may loan you the 3 1/2 inch scraper, now get to it. :whip:

I believe he's referring to the fact that he and Andres are now roped together scraping away frantically. Keep it up gentlemen you've done a square yard so far, so that means another 300 square yards to go. So by tomorrow afternoon you should be all done and we can move you onto mixing the feed and exercising?

I must admit to some astonishment while reading this thread that such esteemed historians have overlooked the most decisive furry weapon of the ancient and mediaeval eras: The war mouse.

After its original deployment by Alexander at the Battle of the Hydaspes River, where the entirely unarmoured Greek mice routed the elephants of Porus, it wasn't long before the animals were armoured for protection - needed as their effect on the enemy invariably resulted in mass panic and a certain amount of undirected stomping. However, the bronze armour of the time was only marginally effective, but looked menacing in the glinting sun.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/aslanngrae/bronzerat.jpg

Recent theories that the famed Scythian goddess-warriors (popularly known as Amazons) were entirely routed by a unit of war-mice, taking their final doomed refuge on top of the lonely rock outcrops known as "The Stools" are still unproven.

War-mice tactics evolved significantly in Asia, leading to the rigid warrior code of the "Rice Mice" of Japan and their role in routing the Mongol invasion.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/aslanngrae/samurat2.jpg

Finally, the war mouse became so well armoured, it was considered a weapon of mass destruction as described by Froissart in his little translated "I Hate Meeces to Pieces". This accounts for the now complete absence of any pachyderm offense during the Hundred Years War, though the heavily armoured English mice were becoming much too vulnerable to the superior French cheeses used to distract them during charges.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v695/aslanngrae/tourneymouse.jpg

A branch of mouse warfare involved the infamous use of mice as biological weaponry, to whit the Black Death. However, this experiment was short-lived - along with much of the population of Europe.

For the record I would like to strongly protest this horrible treatment and this crappy 2" spatula for cleaning up camel doodoo which I did NOT DESERVE THIS AT ALL. I decided to vote for elephants outside gaming/history context. Elephants never forget... and they have a long trunk to spray water at things... and drink booze when they're not supposed to in order to give you nightmares as a kid.
