From the newspaper AFD link (http://www.aprilfoolsday.com)
TOKYO, Japan -- After the recent hostilities over fishing rights, Japanese foreign secretary Sato Suzuki announced that "there can be no peaceful solution to these criminal acts", and shocked AFD reporters by announcing a declaration of war with China. The decision came as "a lighting from a clear sky", according to the British ambassador Hugh Roberts in an interview with our reporter Julia Grant.
Japan and China have had comparatively good realtions in the recent past, according to Roberts, who was totally baffled by this sudden turn of events. Japanese carriers attacked Chinese military installations near Beijing during the morning, and although it has not yet been confirmed it seems like there has been a naval landing near the mouth of the Yangtze River.
HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I doubt I managed to fool anyone but it was fun writing this :balloon2:

Gah, it's a difficult balance between sounding realistic, and being unrealistic enough to make it funny if someone was fooled by it...
And I thought this was going to be robot warriors vs. Russian style human wave attacks.
I was scanning for threads that looked like this. Nice try though. :beam:

I thought it was real, for a little while. So it can't be that bad can it?
:laugh4: I almost fell for it.
As did I. I was a bit slow though, took me to wonder where the Japanese got CVs from before I got it.:dizzy2:
I fell for it, although there was a voice in the back of my mind saying "wait a minute..."
On another note. Anyone know where I can find the footage of the chinese human attack waves that I saw on the history channel a while ago? where the camera showed in black and white a entire mountainside suddenly grow hundreds of chinese out of the ground and they all rushed forth.

No joke:
The army of Switzerland invaded Liechtenstein
Some weeks ago I red this in the papers.
The trueth is:
The swiss army made a nightly manoeuvre. They lost their way and penetrated the territory of Liechtenstein. At the next morning, they found themselves abroad and returned home. The government of Switzerland appoligized for this violation of Liechtenstein territory and paid for the damage.
This accident did not end in a new 'world war'. This shows that the Europeans have learned their lessons and that the political system of Europe is strong enough to integrate an agressive nation like SWITZERLAND.

Lies, Franconicus.
The Liechtenstein Principal Guard kidnapped those 15 Swiss outside of Liechtenstein territory. GPS evidence clearly showed that the Swiss were on the Swiss side of the disputed mountain, where they were checking wagons for the illegal smuggling of cowbells.
Do not believe the lies, the Liechtensteiners displayed the Swiss on the town square and forced them to read an apology. This apology was read under distress. Meh, you sound like another one of those pansy euroweenies who can barely conceal their joy and excitement about Switzerland getting a piece of their own. Silly moral relativity.
This only shows that the Europeans haven't learned their lessons at all and that the political system of Europe is not strong enough to effectively oppose an agressive nation like Liechtenstein. In a few decades time, we'll all be wearing Lederhosen and listening five times a day to a yodelled call for submission to Habsburg. :wall:

Yes. Definitely count me in.
Your sleep will be constantly interrupted by subliminal messages given to you in the form of Mountain horns and Yodeling. Instead of caring about football(soccer) the only sports that will matter will be bobsledding and skiing. Real doctors will be 'disappeared' and be replaced by people that recommend cheese and ricolas as cures for any ailment.
Oh, and the Sounds of Music will become the only movie allowed in theaters. It shows the Swiss Austrian conspiracy that Liechtenstein isn't even a country to escape to.
