I recently retrained an elite unit of Seleukid Phalangites who were down to 22 men(they'd seen a little action) from 240.
They were originally trained in a city which gave no experience chevrons and only +1 morale. They were retrained in a city(my capital) that had +3 to morale, so will they take on the extra morale when retrained?
They were on 2 silver chevrons and kept these when retrained back up to 240, where as another unit of medium Phalangites down to 118 men on one silver chevron, I retrained in a different city(both cities had a +1 to experience gov building)and yet was retrained with 3 red chevrons.
Why the inconsistancy between the two? Going by my last example when the unit was retrained the influx of non veterans reduced the overall number of experience chevrons as it should, and yet the influx of newbies was far less than the former example which was almost wiped out.
