Try:
Ultimate Ai mod
Shabba Wangs diplomacy mod
or something like Lands to conquer (adresses other bug too)

or wait two days for the patch which is going to at least attempt to address diplomacy issues. See how that goes, and THEN decide whether you still need a mod. Not to say mods are bad, but I mean you might as well see where you really stand than jump overboard now, when the ship is being (possibly) saved.

I'd reccomend LtC as a good first mod since it fixes alot of the basic problems. But as mentioned might want to wait on after the patch goes live.

The patch will do a couple things. Fix problems obviously but its going to have the modders go back and redo or retweak their mods. The patch is also going to allow modders to make even better mods with the new added featrues and abilites. We should see some really cool mods with the new patch. :yes:

I've had very good games with Lands to conquer I highly reccommend this mod. Its a problem solver first and formost but what Lusted has done is combined many fixes and modification from other peoples work into one mod.

Diplomacy, shield bug, two handed fix its pretty much all in there. I do think the next patch will address most of whats in the mod, but its been my expirence(old paradox fanboy here) to wait out patches until other users have seen what it does and what it dosent do.

Essentially, LTC mod makes the game playable right now, with no immediate need to patch the game further.

I´d seriously recomend the Anno Domini mod which includes a diplo-mini-mod (forgot the name) that is acceptably realistic and stable.

I think it is ShabaWangs diplomacy mod

ltc is a good stable mod; played it for a long while...however;

i am now playing original non modded with 1.1 patch and a "regions" mod only...which adds a lot of cities and doesn't do anything else but that....: i prefer this to ltc.

merchants still make no money however...might need to address this.

dont know whether ltc works with regions mod aswell...?

LtC is great. The timeline is a little too long for me, but it's an all around good mod.

The total realism mod is always good, but it will take a while before it is gonna be released, but when it does, the game will be much more balanced, historically accurate, and fun in general

I've read about increasing the "kings purse" and the claims that it would really add to the challenge. Opinions?

A bad idea as it gives you extra money too, which will actually make it easier.
