View Full Version : 0.81 ctd
Okay, after numerous other ctd's that were fixed with the downloads here i cannot get past one. It is winter 208 b.c. while i am playing as the romani and with the background script on or off the game quits to desktop as soon as I click the end-turn button.
can anyone help?
thanks
If you are playing on 0.81a and have tried out all fixes, like you say you do, the best way for us to help you is when you upload your savegame (how and why is mentioned in the stickies).
nope..im just playing on 0.81...i will post my savegame soon
thanks
edit: gah...never mind..i got it DOWNLOAD (http://uploaded.to/?id=xuw7na)
Try both of these two things together:
1. The celt-iberian alliance script fix from the ctd-fixes sticky.
2. prevent a rebellion in Numantia (e.g. move a good governor out of his city, maybe with some additional troops (for instance the guy in rome), and then move him next to Numantia using
move_character "Firstnamemiddlename Lastname" 34,133 and then move him into the city.)
This gets me past the ctd, so it should work for you.
The crash happens because of a combination of Numantia rebelling and a few issues in 0.81 with the celt-iberian alliance script.
I got past that turn but now it stil quits to my desktop if i have the background script on, the celt iberian alliance fix is just for 0.81a isn't it or will it work for 0.81
thanks for your help
The problem and fix of the celt-iberian alliance are the same for both 0.81 versions.
Okay excellent thanks, i've downloaded it, but I cant test it for a while. Anyway thanks for all your help :beam:
Wait I get it now, I didn't unpack the tuat fix, it is still a seperate rar file. Sorry:sweatdrop:
Being a bit rubbish when it comes to unpacking, could you please tell me how to do this, thanks again, and sorry for taking up so much time
Browse to "your RTW install folder"\eb\data\scripts\show_me, rename the EBBS_script.txt to old_EBBS_script.txt. Open the rar with Winrar or similar program and drag the file EBBS_script.txt into the show_me folder next to old_EBBS_script.txt
Excellent my campaign is now up and running, thank you v much for all your help.
Thanks
