in my opinion the political positions should be 'beefed' up, they really seem to be minor traits but in rome these things were very important especially your political stance, popularis or opimartis(may have spelt those wrong) also characters with patrician should be allowed to be a populari (sp) not just the plebs
also why isnt there two consuls per year?
and are all the political positions assigned?

Or sometimes both are. I have had (once) both of the consuls as family members under my control. That was a glorious year; I think I must have taken every political office since I had a whole shedload to scroll through.
One would think that with 226 family members (and counting) now, that it would be a regular occurence, but alas, it is not.

In 272, I think that populares and optimates doesn't exist.
I'm not a specialist of Roman history but I think this is the main explanation.

No, the proper names (proconsul, propraetor) remain the same as the original RTW (ex-consul, ex-praetor). But, don't worry, I'm sure EB would remedy this if it were truly necessary.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't Proconsul and Propraetor different to ex-consul and ex-praetor? Pro implies that they still have their Imperium and the power of their office and ex implies that they once held that position.

"Ex Consul" is being changed to "consular" the proper term in a future build. as for political positions, well, none such existed in the roman senate such as some people like to ascribe to them in today's terms.

"better" i was thinking about that one, but i cant think how they could be made better, i mean adding more influence etc. but thats just boring, so nevermind
