Hey all, In a bunch of my campaigns I've noticed that a faction that I was at war with for a couple of turns, the next turn they're neutral and I don't know why. I'd have noticed if I allowed for a ceasefire but I haven't. Anyone else experience this?

They may have allied with one of your allies.

^^
"They may have allied with one of your allies." which is probably what happened.

But truelly, there are no diplomacy oddities in MTW2 as diplomacy as a whole is an oddity.

:laugh4: It's the truth, but it's still funny.:help:

Some rare observations of this phenomenon have been occasionaly observed, but all in all there is no diplomacy in M2TW.

IIRC in STW and MTW if you didnt actually fight a battle with someone for a number of turns the war got 'cancelled due to lack of interest'. Maybe a similar mechanism exists in M2.

Nope, it'll be the 'ally with ally' mechanic (which the human can't replicate ~:( )

Hmph that's stupid, but your right there doesen't seem to be much real diplomacy anyways.:wall:

Thanks for the help all, I didn't even think of that possibility.
