Hey. I just bought a Windows Vista computer from HP, the thing is going SuperB fast! But now I can't join mp battles anymore.. is that because of the security on the computer. And, I also cant change things in the folders for all the factions. If i get in the file, change it and want to safe it, there comes standing: Can't find file: blablabla (file is allright) but whats wrong with the thing cause on the old PC it was OK

I have just got Vista Globe, and I think for changing of files, you need to be logged in as Administrator.
If you have created log in's they may not have full access and therefore will not be able to change such things.

As administrator, the Hyper paranoid ( good thing ) Vista asks me if I have authorised any downloads, changes, pretty much anything.
it can be annoying, but atleast gives me the feeling of safety.

As for MP gaming, it may well be related to this aswell, though my first stop would be Microsoft Defender; the inbuilt firewall. this begger wont let anything in without authorisation.

Windows Defender is Microsoft's built-in anti-virus software. Window's Firewall is the firewall.

Disable both.

If you get as annoyed as I do everything you try to run something and have Vista ask you like 500 times if it can be run, then do the following:

Press the Windows key and R to bring up the Run box. Type in 'msconfig' and hit enter.

Click on the 'Tools' tab and scroll down until you find 'Disable UAC'. Highlight it, and then click 'Launch'.

A CMD box will popup and tell you the operation has completed. You can then either type 'exit' and hit enter, or just close the CMD window. MSConfig will then tell you that you need to restart, do so and those annoying messages will be gone. Woohoo.
