I installed it, following all the instructions the R:TR home site gave me and it doesn't work. why?

Hi Isabella, you need to get a lot more specific in your question (and possibly ask it in RTR thread / forum), which version (patch) of game are you running? Have you checked it is the same one that the download is designed for?

do you have -show_err on your shortcut? if so does it give any message?

when you say it doesn't work, which loading screen does it get to? does it freeze, dump you back to desktop, or return you to earlier menu?

Most mods especially something as much used as RTR should be expected to work if you have right patch version and strictly follow installation instructions....

...oh, only new possibility is; I think Windows Vista might have messed up some things, are you on that?

thanks, but I've seen similar problems before with another mod, and I did a load of work and it still didn't work, so I've given up on R:TR. thanks anyway

Thats sad, RTR is an excellent mod and the graphics are second only to RTR 7.0. happy gaming all the same...
