View Full Version : Golden Sun series
Anybody ever played these? It's been a long time since I played 'em, but I recall they're truly good. I think they're among the best RPGs for the GBA. Nice story, nice music, good SFX, etc. The end of part one gave me chills down my head basically from an artistic point of view (product-wise, story-wise, musically, etc.).

I remember playing one of the later ones, called lost ages or something like that. I remember it was pretty good, but ended up stuck somewhere and never completed the game

I was pretty far into the first one... and was completely dissapointed. I couldn't finish since the game was crushed (in my original DS) by a semi. Doh!
The game looked amazing... but beyond that I thought it the definition of RPG-lite.
Ah well, to each their own.

I remember that it took me a couple tries to defeat the final boss of the first one which was a dragon i think

I completed them both when they first came out. I liked them, yet I would hesitate to place them anywhere but in the solid midrange of JRPGs I've played. Good, not special, not outstanding, not something I'm likely to play again, but neither are they games I feel I wasted my time on, and I did complete them.

Actually, there was a sequel, The Lost Age.
Recently revisited Golden Sun, and it was enough to make me want its sequel. Great games, full stop.

Yeah, I played them both. Finished both of them several times, too. I'll bet there are still players out there who want a third episode.
