I like the new government set up style. How it is gradient and certain types are available at certain distances/places etc. I like most of anything about the EB mod to be honest, but that's another matter...

anyway,

my suggestion would be to have the government system options change with time, if that is possible.

I mean, say you conquor a province that is so far removed from your "traditional" homeland, that you can not establish a typeI or II government there. I think that the realm of type I and II governments available should change if you hold areas for a given amount of time. The rational being, the longer those regions are controlled by you, the more they become "factionalized" whether it be sweboz, maks, romani, or whatever.

Does this make since?
Is this a good idea?
Is this even doable?

I think the main problem would have to be whether or not they could monitor how long a certain faction has held a territory, which I don't think is possible. Other than that, it is an idea I have thought would be interesting. But then EB's focus would shift more towards realistic rather than historical and my opinions being whatever EB is still primarily historical first, realistic second, even though one could really argue its two sides to the same coin.

The existing Government Sytem is enormously complicated "under the hood", and determining the parameters that would allow "Outlying" regions to upgrade to "Expansion", and "Expansion to shift over to "Homeland".....that's a nightmare. Plus the AI Govs are planted by script because we KNOW the existing mix of O-E-H provinces (for each faction), and that would be impossible to change "on-the-fly". The whole idea just scares the bejesus out of me.

So, no, don't hold your breath waiting for this.
