hello, same prob as several others have, too. the title says nearly everything. i cannot see any cities revolting, but i guess it crashes when romans are at turn.

would be very happy if someone could help. i will go on fixing the permanent fixes, also reinstalling the game, patch, mod and permanent fixes, but i don't believe it will work so far...

Thanks for posting here, it will be a lot easier to keep track :2thumbsup:.

There's no need to install the fixes again unless they have been updated since you last installed them. Reinstalling the game *could* help, but as you've made it to 210 already I doubt there's anything wrong with your installation. Probably you've simply encountered a bug which we have no fix for currently, if you've installed all the fixes and it still occurs.

Which of course is bad news for you, as it may take a while before we find out what causes it, and your campaign is halted in the meantime... I suggest playing a new campaign until we find a fix.

ok, playing new campaigns is boring when u allways get a desktop screen reaching about 210 BC ^^ does my hardware config help u to fix it or is it useless? however, i play on an athlon xp 3000+, 1gig ram, gforce 7900gt 512mb, win xp sp2...do u have a link to all fixes listed i need to try out?

EB is a very different game compared to vanilla RTW in many aspects. One of these is the background script. This script dramatically improves the gameplay experience. Amongst other things it doubles the nr of turns per year, it takes care of various reforms and maintains the government buildings. Unfortunately this script doesnt start automatically. This means that when you start a campaign, you'll have to select one of your cities and an advisor will pop up, you must then click the advisor and click on show me how (like the advisor tells you). Also, you must repeat this every time you load your campaign.

Now you probably didnt know this, cause when I load your campaign game and start the script the year jumps from 204BC to 238-ish BC, which indicates that the script hasnt been running.

You are best of starting a new campaign with the script activated. The experience will be a lot better (although a bit slower during AI turns) and you'll probably not have this sort of ctd anymore.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

The advisor will reappear every turn or when you click a settlement as long as the script is off.

The game doesn't always CTD at 210, except in your particular game. The next campaign you play will, just about guaranteed, not fail at that point. It may fail at *some* point though. There are still bugs we need to find and weed out.
