I've been having trouble with a CTD all morning and I'd like to get some assistance. It's about 260(?) b.c.e. and every time I end the turn I get a CTD just as it's Raka-something or other's turn. It happens just about every turn with the exception of the last couple or turns since I've been downloading and installing those crash fixes in the sticky thread. Yes, I've downloaded all of them and tried them and it did actually work a couple of times but then the problem returned. Most recently I used the "edct" download and that allowed me to progress, however, once I returned the original edct file after I allowed one turn to pass it started crashing again.

I'm rusty on modding but can I just leave the edct file that was in edct_notriggers.rar in my /data folder or is there some reason that I must return the original after i get through the crash? Or have I missed something? I appreciate the help and I'm thoroughly pleased with the mod so far. I played a campaign with the Greeks (ones with the Spartans, still cant keep track of all of these strange names) and everything was fine for something like 50 years. Now the romans are in trouble after 10.

Okay I'll check back in later, thanks!

Apparently you have to wait 35 seconds for the download to be ready with that website. I only used it because it was what was recomended in another thread discussing uploading save game files.

Also you try use shoe_err command to see what the problem is.

Just to make sure this doesn't go wrong, it should be:
show_err

And I got the downloading going.

The edct_notrigger file will disable all triggers for character traits, so generals will never get any new traits. Its only to be used to see if there is a trait problem or to get you past a ctd for one turn.

This one definately seems to be trait related and a completely new problem. I am trying to track it down and we ll be discussing this internally.
