England 1110

King Rufus the Ruthless = Piety 6
Prince Henry = Piety 5
Territories controlled = 20
Generals = 15

Percentage of Heretics = +- 2% Average across the empire
Percentage of Catholics= +- 95% Average across the empire
Successful Inquistion trials by English clery = +- 8
Relations with Pope since 1086 = Perfect
Average Papal Standing since 1090 = 90%
Successful Crusades = 1

So why on earth would they want to come to my lands ?

It seems that they pop from nowhere and and start attempting to try individuals. This is ridiculous, it would be better if the Inquisitors were in someway connected to some factors e.g Heretic population, Papal Standing etc..

I've been lucky so far but I'm training up my assassins.

I've had it happen where the inquisitors have been going after another faction but have then wandered into my lands.

I have to say, that in all the time I've played this game, I've only had about....5 or so generals burned, and only one faction leader(king louis of the french, I didn't mourn him...). They've tried and sometimes burned quite a few of my priests though.

I'm wondering how others play this game, I've never once had problems with the inquisition...

I have no problem with it, I've only had a couple of priests set alight so far, but I find it's so dumb. It's a random factor to make it harder by giving you silly handicaps. It should be tied to something, but it isn't.

EDIT:

BUUUAHAHHAHAHAHAHHWHHAHAHHAHAHHA
Just assassinated one level 8 Inquisitor with a level 5 assassin !!! LOL !

Maybe they realize it's all that gold you give the pope is why your relations are so good and they are looking for what they are hiding .... honestly no clue

Nah Inquisitors usually never bother me. If they kill my general, i don't give a sh1t coz my entire kingdom is made out of bad eggs. One did kill my faction leader though but he was crap anyway.

Heres a super inquisitor. Just look at his name and you can tell. He single handedly eliminated most of the Hungarian Royalty.

I find that there is definitely a direct relationship between the number and level of churchs I build and the presence/absence of inquisitors. I keep the level of church in my cities at one less than the max allowed, and don't go above cathederal. Have rarely seen an inquisitor in my lands. But as the Monty Python folks say...."Just when you LEAST expect it......."

If you don't want inquisitor wandering around your land, just use the surround trick with military units and kill any that comes near your generals
