Is there any way to edit unit texture files on a mac?

I get the impression from the documentation for the Nvidia Photoshop plugin that it's only effective on Windows. Is it possible at all to get them done on a mac? Perhaps there is another image manipulation program that can read that format available for mac?

Don't have a mac so don't know for sure but have a look at http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/ and http://www.macgimp.org/ . Gimp does have dds and normal plugins.
