rtr installation

ok so i have this problem with the installation. i install it and the installer does its thing. but nothing happened; so i read the installation and it says get patch 1.2. 1.5 is automatically installed so is there anyway i can put it back? thank you ~:)

Hi moderniconoclast,
May I suggest that you try R:TR Platinum Edition (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=65573). Unfortunately, since, it seems that you have Gold edition, you cannot downgrade to version 1.2, yet R:TR PE is standard Rome: Total Realism designed for version 1.5 of R:TW instead of 1.2. Another thing that you may wish to note, having Gold edition, is that the file-path is different to that of an ordinary version of R:TW. This means that, when the installer asks where to place the files, you have to change the path to "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War" in order to allow the installer to do it's magic.
