This is very, very minor but I thought I'd bring it up.

Huge walls for Scotland allows the training of Noble Pikemen in the city, which is a castle unit. I'm pretty sure that it should be Heavy Pike Militia that are available to be trained with huge walls.

I thought I'd throw that out there. I haven't heard it mentioned before.

Did'nt hear that one before.

/runs off to load up as Scots and spam the world with Noble Pikemen.

:laugh4:

Weird bug. Also, I see that the Scots are very expansionist, and the English stand as pigs. In my HRE campaign, England no longer exists.

Can you hire heavy pike militia in your huge city (or elsewhere) at all then?

Yes, with the highest level barracks in the Huge City, AFAIK. At that point, you should be able to train both Heavy Pike Militia and Noble Pikemen, oddly enough. The Noble Pikemen are better quality, though. The only problem is that I want to start filling my city with heavy pike militia in the free upkeep slots, but can't do it because I'm pumping out castle units in my city...

Unless this was intentional? Even if it isn't, it's easy to fix. Just gotta change a line in one of the files.

I'd say intentional just like Christian guard for moors or the janissaries for turks. Elite units since you won't get firearms later.

Late units for the Scotts are not that good so it's a little bonus they give. And by not good i mean they lack mobile archers... decent archers all together it seems. No gunpowder either. So i wouldn't call this a bug
