My "control <faction>" command is not working...

Ive got vanilla 1.2 and whenever I type the command in the shell it doesnt do anything...:furious3:
Move character works fine...It even recognises "?control" as a valid command but nothing happens please help!!!

Maybe Im doing something wrong?

well control france(no capitals) is correct. The HRE is hre, as that is the internal game name for the faction.

Check if you can select multiple factions (click on another shield) on the faction selection screen.
Also copy this into your config (overwriting what's there):

[hotseat]
autoresolve_battles = 0
disable_console = 0
disable_papal_elections = 0
save_prefs = 0
update_ai_camera = 1
validate_diplomacy = 1

It works now thanks...though I wanted to change factions immedieately like in 1.1...
Because I have a Byz campaign and I want to play as the Mongols that just arrived (Ive been playing just for that moment)...
Is there a command to do that? It worked in 1.1 I dont understand why it isnt now...

I think whether your game is a hotseat game or not is saved in the savegame now.
