How do I get unlimited men on the battlefield?

Hi to all i have been doing some search for unlimited men on the battlefield? and found some info here at this site
that says do this:

Run the game then exit.

Open medieval2.preference.cfg with notepad

A line called

unlimited_men_on_battlefield = 0

Appears in the file. Change the 0 to 1 so i did that what happens is that when ur army kills the enemy general the game reads as u the one who lost the battle... any way if any one knows how to make ////How do I get unlimited men on the battlefield?//// plz let me know and thank u ... and for some reason i still can't find v1.2:help:

The config change works perfectly.

Something else must be causing your problem.

Ok sapi thank u for the replay but can u plz tell me when u configured or edited the file what exactly happed ??? for instance how many unit cards did u have available when u started the battle can u plz up date me on that ??? and i have notice something else my audio when i move a unit to merge with an other it gets hooked on saying merging units 2/3 times i dont know y when i edit that file i get all these problems..//////.... thank u
