Toxotai Kretikoi as Romani?

Can Romani somehow gain access to Toxotai Kretikoi/Cretan Archers? If so, which MIC is required?

As mercs is probably easier. I'm not sure if they can get them otherwise.

yes, they can. I dont know what level but you need a regional MIC that's relatively high. Id go with a type III or IV gov.

It's a stage 4 regional MIC on Crete. You'll better take the mercenarys. They're far more widespread.

And yeah, I've already been fetching mercs but I'd like the ability to retrain them.

Yes, type 3 or 4 government. Retraining them is tempting, but you have to ship them to that backforest island in order to do that. Hiring and merging them is better, but when I have a phase of roleplaying, I retrain them too ;-)

Toxotai Kretikoi are pretty cheap anyway compared to most other mercenaries, around 1800-1900 mnai I believe.
