View Full Version : The Sahara...

Hey all,
I have been playing as the Lusotannans and I focused on moving my empire southwards to take over North Africa (avoiding the victory conditions) and I have hit The Sahara.
My question is, is it possible to take it over? I've used toggle_fow to see if it is only there to make the map bigger but I see a settlement to the farthest corner (forgot the name). I have tried spies to see if there are any pathways to get in there but I have found nothing. Thanks in advance for any answers.
EB is so awesome!

Its a desert! Whats the point! Anyway, our script uses it to place buildings so that we can measure things happening elsewhere in the game (as the script is basically reset everytime you load a game), so if you were to take it you would find it full of buildings ... very odd buildings.

With roofs of pure gold, diamonds for cobblestones and the finest incense for 2 mnai per camelload :beam:
Well well, wasn't there something like a move_character console command...?

It's probably the secret HQ of the EB team... Sitting in front of blue screens with strange vectors, looking at the series of clocks on the wall to check the local time in Baktra or Ratae, informing their secretive, undetectable 11-subterfuge-scripting-agents to order them to have a hand in the activation of the obscure Background Activation Script...
An unsuspecting human player oughtn't try to intrude it...
There's no riches there, young Strategos, don't believe the tales!

How did you do that? It must be annoying controlling the rebels in that province, Fondor. Could you post a screenshot of the 'mysterious buildings'?

Secret HQ of the EB team? So if I conquer & enslave that city, does that mean I get to have the EB team design mods/programs for me? :D

That AS is gonna be hard work...
But tell us about the buildings in the Sahara!
They are of precious metal as they say, aren't they?

Fondor_Yards..how did you get it? Please I wanna know...does it require cheating???

I think he had to do the character_reset cheat to get there. Otherwise, I believe it was mostly trial&error on the way.

More likely it was move_character cheat.

And never forget to use the "show_cursorstat" cheat as well. Anyway if you take over Terhazza we'll just move somewhere else... The province sort of prevends sand wars & eleutheroi eliminating.

In one ingenious coup you suddenly rivalled the Arche Seleukeia in all it's territorial mightyness...
Why is it called Terhazza? It doesn't happen to be an ancient town on that very spot, just in the EB-map, does it? Or am I underestimating the team's all-consuming craving for historical accuracy?
You should call it 'Atlantis-in-the-Desert' (different from Atlantis-next-the-sea) or 'Europabarbarorumopolis'...

Apparently there was a relatively famous saltmine in Terhazza during antiquity. The phrase "Back to the saltmines" aquires a whole new meaning if the EB team has it's headquarters in Terhazza.
YOU! Back to the saltmines! :whip: EB 2.0 is waiting.

You're right... made a quick research about it...

Yep, heh
As for the money, I've modded my game so you make more money. Richer AI=Stronger AI in my book.

Not entirely unlike what you have right now :clown:
