I voted for successor state, specifically Seleucids. There aren't too many AARs of them around and they are really fun to play with, unless you destroy your enemies the second you have the chance. My other choice would be Carthage.

Ok

Oh and the poll closes in 2 days

You should just choose a faction you are familiar with. Creating AARs when you don't have a clue about the faction's culture turn out to be failures, unless you are a skilled writer.

I would like to see a good Lusitanian AAR btw. Good luck:2thumbsup:

You know,I have never seen an Ptolemaioi AAR.Though Sweboz would be a close second.I tried one on my old account. It didn't get too far.Oh well.

I vote for Ptolemies, because I want to read an AAR where they aren't hated.

I started 'Velvet Cloaks of Kings' a while ago, currently I think it will be able to be recovered due to the nature of the computer screw-up, but it's on hiatus for a while.

Oh, and I have a perverse interest in seeing a Nomadic campaign at the moment.

I voted Succescor state Arche Seleukia because it's a very challengeing campaign. I would also have you choose a nomadic or eastern faction like the Hayasdan seeing that you just stopped playing a campaign playing horse archers and are probably used to that type of warfare right now. If you choose barbarian go Casse, Sweboz, Or Arverni. Maybe Lusitanian.

I too would like to see a Ptolemaioi AAR. A lusotannan would also be great though.

Successor state. Either the Seleukids or Ptolies, since nobody has bothered to do one for either.

The Koinon Hellenon and Epeiros weren't really Successors. Basically Successors are the nations founded by Alexandros' generals (the Diadochi) Baktria and I think Hayasdan are so called 'minor Successors', because they split up from the Diadochi (Arche Seleukeia)
So next poll, choose better groups  Eastern-Western Greek, etc.

Better still, choose a faction you have considerable historical knowledge and/or interest of, or do some research. Like Vorian said, this is really the best option if you don't know what to choose. It's all about roleplay, not gameplay!

I'll vote for Casse. Lots of roleplaying options since you have lots of Eleutheroi to fight in the early days. Them Early Days are the most intersting for AAR's...besides, we don't want to see another British Empire ruling half the globe

Arche Seleukia. They are cool, and I've never seen any AARs on them.

Ptolemaioi.:egypt: I really want to see an AAR done on these guys, but if not them then perhaps the AS?

Taken into mind

So Its now between Ptolemaioi and Arche Seleukia pretty much

You'd have a much easier time doing the Ptolemies, by the way, since you don't have to deal with all the problems of the AS. That way, you could start writing about something interesting right away (conquest of Africa? moving into babylonia? yes I know it's not my AAR but I can dream can't I :beam: ?)

The AS might be more "action-packed" because you will soon be dealing with Baktria, Egypt, Parthia, and Pontos, but you will probably have to spend time creating a stable economy and raising public order etc.... not fun to write about...

I was thinking more Ptolemiaio anyway (god I gotta learn the spelling for the AAR)

..... (god I gotta learn the spelling for the AAR)

It is spelled 'Ptolemaioi', meaning 'Ptolemies'.
