I was just looking through the "mod database," and as I use mods for WoW, I thought I'd give these a try.

Only... I haven't any idea how to go about doing it.

I'm not a computer genius, or even close to it, so I really need very detailed instructions on how exactly I can start using mods. I tried downloading "Anno Domini," but I was linked to a mod site which reported 0 search results.

I'd really love to take advantage of some of the features in the mods listed in the database thread, but I badly need help. Anyone kind enough to help me out?

Thanks in advance.

For Anno Domini it's probably best to ask Re Berengario I here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=295

In general, mods will often come in zip or rar files containing a folder called "data" or some other name and possibly a *.bat file. Extract these to your Medieval 2 directory (C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War), then click on the .bat file to run the game using the mod.
It's a bit different for each mod, but the principle is normally the same.

Sometimes mods will come with installers that will create a shortcut in the MTW2 directory or even on your desktop.

Moved to Mod Chat.

Thanks for the advice. However, I don't think I'll be modding my game after reading how buggy that mod is. :/
