Command Eagle

Is there some way to mod the command eagle? I thought that was hardcoded until I saw the preview for one of the "Tolkien" mods. If it is indeed possible, how would I do it? Is it a model or an image?

Hi Captain, there is both model and texture for it in:
RTW/data/models/ legion_eagle.cas
and
RTW/data/models/textures/legion_eagle.tga.dds

They are not referenced from a text file so although you can change them you can not alter the file path. You can get them to work in a -mod folder though by packing into mod_0.pak. As you can't change path you can't as far as I know change it to be different for different cultures, so if you want something distinctive for it you are stuck with only using the 'command' attribute that makes it show for the factions / cultures the modded version fits.

Text changes for the descriptions are easy, just search data/text files for 'eagle' and change the bits not inside {}

It is indeed global - sadly. Wlesmana made it into a star. I asked him if it looked a little bit like a giant fairy's wand but he said it didn't and, indeed, on later observation I agreed ;)
