I found some minor bugs in Africa... no matter at all but I wanted to report them anyway:

Terhazza: :sweatdrop:
After much spying in the desert, and buying maps from other factions, I located the city that governs a huge province. However, I cant reach it. There is no way. I tried summers and winters, with different troops... is this on purpose? If so, what can I do to reach it anyway?

Tuat: :smash:
Roads are no-show. When I took the place, dirt roads where in place. They did not show. I build roads up to the level of highway. Still no-show. Maybe they are covered in sand...

Hibis: :book:
When I got there, the desert irrigation was in place, but it looked like a barracks type (the default icon when the actual symbol is missing). Other desert cities show the correct desert irrigation icon, however.

Alexandria: :egypt:
The Ptolemies are trying hard to take it back. They are investing the city almost every turn. When i fight on the battle map, there are chunks of sky on the ground (close or right beneath the four gates). They may be clouded, overcast or clear, just as the sky above. Also, troops march right on it.

Terhazza is intentional. We use it for markers so the rest of the game works as it should. There should be no good reason why you'd want to go there, but you can take it by cheating.

Don't know about the rest of your questions.

Terhazza:
This is intensional. You can't reach the city. In the future it will be called something along the lines of "unconquerable".

Tuat:
Tuat was going to be removed and is just there so the files don't have to be removed then redone. (It is easier to move the city and rename it then undo and redo it.) That said, Tuat looks like it will be redone and remade the the v0.7x form, while other cities will be removed, moved, replaced. There are no roads because there is a wall of impassible terrain between Tuat and the next province.

Hibis:
Sounds like the incorrect culture identification thing. Hopefully this bug will be removed/minimized in the next version.

Alexandria:
I've heard that a lot. Alexandreia is going to be moved and the land around it redone, so hopefully this bug will disappear with the rework.

True desert provinces should not be able to build roads, and a few can have roads but no paved roads.

Thank y'all for these pieces of valuable info. The reason why I want to go to Terhazza is to conquer it... if it is on the map, than I want it (greed). Why do people want to climb mountains?

Also, it would be nice to build watchtowers in the desert. I worked in north africa for a while and i liked excursions into the desert.

as for roads in the desert, this is true - up to a point. desert is not just sand dunes, it is also rocky and stony desert. terrain would allow road constructions there but for two problems: lack of water supply and lack of demand (only a few nomads live there so why build a highway?). of course if there is a city then there is demand for a road. however, if the province allows no road at all, then it should not appear in the building menu.

btw, in modern times it is possible to build superhighways across sandy desert just as well. now they are all over the place. the same was true for railroads a hundred years ago. i think a special profile in the road allows the wind to carry the sand over it but not to drop it on the road. dont know if the ptolemies knew about this though. :beam:
