View Full Version : Patch - Oh Lordy!! auto_win doesnt work with 1.2?

In Antioch, surrounded by 6500 Mongols, 4 stacks, 2 of which have artillery. But am I scared? Absolutely not, for I have a wonder weapon far in advance of any Mongol rockets - the 'auto_win defender' launcher!

I point it at the besieging hordes and contemptuously squeeze the trigger - nothing:oops: :help: Er, I'll get my coat.

I think the last time I used this ...ahem... enhancement was in MTW2 1.0 and it worked - just to avoid the inevitable freeze when the battle became too graphics card unfriendly, you understand. I did try autoresolve but killing less than 50 of the enemy seemed a pretty poor return for the loss of 20000 men and my biggest earner.

Seems as if it doesn't work with the new patch - 'toggle_fow' certainly does though - or did I pull the wrong trigger?

Wrong trigger:embarassed: forgot to hit Autoresolve too~:doh:

What he means is he tried it and probably pressed "fight battle" He then realized what he did and loaded an earlier save and pressed autoresolve. All works now.
Basically he solved his problem before anyone read this :p

Huh? auto resolve helps the attacks ( it ignores walls.) not the defender.

He used auto_win defender which basically means the defender will always win (or at least draw) when autoresolving
