attempt on popes life

I was using my assassin army to bring a wave of death across Italy.
But when i tried to kill the pope, one of my assassin's failed and died and then i got this message

Yep - but only as a bug (got the message as the Byzantines, as you did with the Egyptians)

It's only supposed to appear for Catholic factions, afaik
