After watching Braveheart earlier this week this sudden question sprung to mind in my head, will Medieval Total War allow the ability to execute or torture people? (Note-This came to mind after seeing William Wallace recieve torture at the end of the film)
Wouldn't it be cool to, after a huge battle, capture the enemy general and take them back to one of your provinces for either torture on enemy plans or for execution for their hostilities against you? I think this would be a pretty cool option as it was a key way to scare the peasants back then
I am currently e-mailing a CA worker about the prospect, I know it's highly unlikely they'll listen but I'm trying, anyway back to the topic
Executions would be a great option in my view as a way to make the peasants fear and increase their loyalty to you, and a pretty good way of bunking off important enemy figures like William Wallace, King Richard etc
I also sent the following to CA "I think it'd be pretty cool also to have some sort of unit which, kind of like the ninja from Shogun, sneaked into the enemy provinces and tried to kidnap or arrest enemy generals (E.g. If you include William Wallace, like a mag I read said you would, you could go into the rebelling Scotland and arrest him and bring him back to England to recieve punishment etc)." I think a unit like that would be good, or maybe the feature to bribe nobles or kings to hand over key generals
Executions could also be a cool feature if you could be captured by rebels and executed in some sort of Revolution or something, people will probably disagree with that, but it'd make guarding your King much more important than before
I don't know about you, but I thought i'd make my first topic one that'd get a few people talking and thinking, also I have put in a P.S. in the e-mail that I will post any additional idea's from you guys to them
