Hi there,
I was just toying around with that and excluded most forums for view, except that when I pressed save changes, it didn't do anything but display a bulletin message:
A required field called Secret answer is missing or has an invalid value.
And I still see everything

Hi FactionHeir,
Unfortunately, it seems that you must have joined prior to the secret answer field being compulsory. If you fill in that newer field, which is the fourth section down in the "Login & Privacy" section, then the problem should resolve itself and will, hopefully, allow you to use the great forum exclusion feature. Hope this helps, cheers!
As Omanes Alexandrapolites said.
It isn't related really, the software may run into some internal check.

Hi all,
I was just wanting to update my forum exclusion view but it seems bugged somehow.
I selected for exclusion quite a few things but in the end anything below HTW is automatically deselected when I got back to the forum options to check and most forums display when I go to the overview.
What I want to see (and it worked before I updated it just now):
Medieval 2 Totalwar
-- Singleplayer
----Citadel
-- M2TW modification
---- Mod Chat
---- Mods in development
---- Learn to Mod
------ Modding Research Wiki
------ Modding Tutorials & Tools
------ Modding Questions
Totalwar Series
-- Story/PBM
----Thone Room
-- Apothecary
---- Apothecary
---- Tech library
Miscellaneous
-- Watchtower
---- Backroom
-- Tavern
---- Frontroom
And the Tavern backroom, but I don't see a switch for that. Only seeing Front&Gamerooms so I only selected front for instance.
Good lamb makes you forget anything. There was something to do, but what?
:thinking2:
Edit: logged in using Member AdminTest and FireFox. Backroom isn't there, that's odd.
I excluded (for testing purposes):
-MTW Pocket Mod
-Samurai Warlords
-STW forums
They remained selected and are invisible.

Two posts above your last :p
I remembered when walking into this forum.
I've tried a few things for the Backroom, no luck yet. The other thing you mentioned didn't happen to me.

The exclusions not working might have 3 causes from my perspective.
The first one could be that when I tried changing it first today, I accidentally used the shift key at times too and saved. After I noticed the problem, I reset exclusions, and then set the exclusions again, this time only with ctrl. Maybe the one time usage of shift messed things up for my account in general?
The second thing could be that there is a limit to how many exclusions you can set. As you can see I excluded most from view.
Third cause could be my exclusion of gameroom and mead hall, which I didn't have excluded previously and the forum doesn't like me having frontroom and backroom and throne room without those two.
Figure you can fix this for me? I just tried setting them again and the same result occured: Everything after Shogun/HTW remains non selected - i.e. i can see it even though I don't want to.
Maybe because the problem is related with Member groups.
That can be the problem. But I dont know much about this, so I will close my (digital) mouth.

shift clicking will choose everything else between them as well.
Excluding certain areas, does not exclude other ones you dont pick.
AFAIK no limit on exclusions. Would need confirmation though.

I suppose that could be possible. Didn't have any troubles as Member at least
Hello,
AdminTest is a Member account and excluded no forum. The Backroom isn't listed. I've no idea why, the switch is in the right position, it could be excluded first and there are no other config changes.
I don't know why you can't exclude anything after HTW. That was not a problem for AdminTest.
FactionHeir,
Please check whether you can exclude more forums now, the Backroom still isn't listed.
Edit: correction, it is.
