Greetings, Ive finally managed to upgrade my PC enuff to run Medieval II. I had made a number of Mods to Med I. But am finding this quite a challenge as I missed RTW completely. I want to start by making simple alterations. Which file do I adjust to increase starting armies, I have altered the descr_strat file but the changed do not appear in the game. Also I found a thread telling me how to display years rather than turns but after endless trawlings I cannt find the thread again.
Humble apologies for what im sure is a very simple question, but Im a virgin (oohh Matron !!)

Moved to modding questions.
descr_strat is indeed the point to start. There's a setting that tells the game how to display the turns and you can adjust starting armies there. If your changes didn't show you probably made a formatting error or something.

to change turns to years....
