I've some doubts about the 8800 GTX prices. It seems odd that consulting internet pages I get prices as high as u$d 1200.- for one single graphic card. I mean that's crazy. The cheapest price I could get for one of those is u$d 750.-. Now my question is: How much does this graphic card costs in your country? (I'm mainly interested on US prices). I think that vendors here are taking advantage again of the consumers ignorance, but it's because they're usually "outlaw" they don't really care about your menaces or that of the law.

The prices here range from $530 to $630. I got a GTS320 overclocked for $315 and you can get a regular 320 for around $270. The regualr GTS fits between these two models.

Yep, I cannot believe the way the consumer is treated here. We not only get the price in dollars, but we also get it doubled!!! Still $ 530.- is out of my range for now, thanks for your answers anyway.:2thumbsup:

The 384 meg 8800 cards are much cheaper, are getting very good reviews, and compare well with their big brother 768 meg 8800s. You might want to look into those.

The 8600 cards, so I've read, are not very good.

Get the 8800GTS 320 superclocked. About 350-400 dollars, but it's really worth the money.

I have an EVGA 320 8800GTS superclocked and it cost me $315, Warning this card does not work on MTW/VI.

Driver issues, most certainly. The 8800 series has had more then it's share of them.

That would seem to be the problem.Figures the game I play most and my new pc wont play it.
