Actually I don't know if anyone said it wasn't possible, but it is.

I got the plague awhile ago, but I seem to remember carthaginian's attacking my city, maybe they carried the plague? I dunno but either way......
now there is proof that the Plague does exist in EB :2thumbsup:

Congratulations! :laugh4:
Yeah, I've seen them too. They are just much rarer.

I don't know if the plague is a time for congratulations :laugh4:
But maybe the reason that plagues and such are rarer is because of all the public health buildings that provide so much public health?

I had a plague in Bononia (or whatever it's called) and it had no contact whatsoever with any troops, friendly or enemy, and to the best of my knowledge with no spies. Until I put a spy in and took it into Aedui lands. I also noticed it in Masselia, which was being besieged by the Aedui.

I too have gotten plagues in EB, but they rarely happen more than once to a city and I've NEVER had more than 5 per campaign in my lands. I know the AI can sometimes get more.

I have the plague in Zadrakata and it seems to go on for years :skull:
Sounds like you have a spy in your town.
Hey, unrelated i know, but you are at 233 b.c. and still have camillian units, for some reason I really love the spear principes...is this just leftovers or what?
Cheers

They are leftover from polybian reforms i had Earlier, i just decided to leave them there instead of waste money replacing them

Yes, I do the same. In some provinces where no attack is likely, any garrison will do. Plus, it looks nice in some instances. Nostalgic, like.
However, during Marian times i tend to replace them with vigiles, because of their jigh manpower and low upkeep (240 on huge scale, I think higher unit strenght prevents rebellion better, i.e. one 240 men vigiles polices better than two 100 men cavalry units or am I wrong?)

Your right, thats why i use leves to garrison my cities, 240 men and cheap.
I'm getting pretty annoyed with plagues. In my Saka campaign I've had two in the first 16 years. Like I have enough men already...
