Strange behavior with new patch

Hullo.

I just downloaded the 0.81a v2 patch, and when I tried to start the game, I got the RTW loader (not the fullscreen one, the little one on the desktop) and then...

Nothing happens...so, does anyone know the problem?

The small RTW loader is supposed to come up for a short while, then the fullscreen EB one. I'd guess you either installed it in the wrong directory or simply have a slow computer. But for the latter, if 0.81a worked fine for you, there's no reason why v2 should be any worse.

The small loader tells you that the copy protecion is checkin if the CD is original.
