View Full Version : PC Gamer Review of Total War
I just got my June issue for PC Gamer and this game was in there. It said that it was a good game, and from what I gathered from the few images, it looked better than AOE II. I scanned through, and noticed the word "beta" somewhere in there, so i came looking to see if beta tests were still avaliable. Unfortunately they werent ;`(. Is there anyway that I can still get into the action?

As far as any of us know, there has not been any beta-test release to the general public--let alone any playable demos--or even a detailed description of how the game will play (unit stats/game mechanics). At this point Activision is just stringig us all along with mostly hype. This suggests to me that 1) the release date is going to be later than expected and 2)Activision is still making a lot of changes in the game.
Do you play Shogun Total War at all? It will give you some idea of what MTW will be like.
Ooh, that sucks. I havent played Shogun, but it looks good...Ill go buy it this weekend and take a look @ it.

I too went to the Renaisance Festival and strapped on a piece of sheet metal and duked it out with some poor bloke with a stage sword.
