i would like to see a logfile reader incorperated into the game itsef that includes advanced sorting options. such as the ability to sort by player, win/loss , 1v1 or 2v2 ect.. another feature that would be very helpful would be to display unit % average the a player takes when battling you.
so for example.. i sort my logs and i decide i want to see all the battles ive fought agains player x, this command takes you to a screen that displayes only logs with player x and yourself in the battle that can be further sorted by date/time, win/loss, 1v1 or multi. then at the top of the screen sould be a bar graph showing the unit % that player x brings. ( this would be done by totaling each unit taken and diveding by the total number of units taken). the result would be a display that shows player x takes on average:
4.2 muskets w1.6 a1.2
3.7 ashi w2.4 a0.7
ect...
included on this advanced screen should be att/def totals and win/loss totals.

the log file reader should be able to work with the o/s so you can change directories. this way i can sort my own logs by the army i take for example. or store them on a disk or erase them. the logs are fully accesable now and i hope this will remain. a tool that found duplicate logs would be helpful as well http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

what do you guys think and how do we get the devolpers to agree?

good idea, but still output a readable logfile to create our own campaigntool, just as we finished one some months ago and some people already using it for their own campaigns....

the campaigntool we have now for stmi is the next generations campaigngoodie. and stm could allow us to make it common for all.
