This post has 2 points, the first is this, The Aedui only have one province left and I really want to ally oor force a protectorateship on them to try and replay Caesar, Ive already got my legions!:smash: so it's really a roleplay thing but I can't get the force diplomacy cheat to work after searching for something that could help me with this.
Secondly,and rather more importantly I want to thank all who made this mod as it is just superb, The awesome unit skins, the better battles, the harder campaign, the larger amount of units and different factions and the sheer immersion and hstorical accuracy of the whole thing. I have found myself learning quite a lot about the different factions and the history in general as I play and I love the trait system, Got a triumph!:beam: and enjoy the difficulties of moving your armies in the different seasons. Amazing!

There is a force diplomacy mod out in the unofficial modding section I believe...it'll solve your roleplaying crisis.

Also, you have to make sure you are doinf an offer, not a gift or request, to make the Force Diplomacy mod to work. So give them what you think is reasonable for a Protectorate and use the mod.

One thing that usually happens to me is that i get money out from them making a treaty and the next thing is that i get attacked. Doesnt make much sense, does it? You dont give money and try to make an alliance if u r gonna attack

so with the forced diplimacy mod once a faction becomes my ally do they stayed allied or they attack ( most likely the next turn)?

In my experience it partly depends on who they are, what their situation is(territory status, money, other enemies), and just how much they hated you...for me, usually they would keep an alliance with me for 2-5 turns then would promptly attack me with some whimsical attempt at taking one of my cities....

Thanks all, it's just a minor thing, but I've been backstabbed at fairly crucial points before, and the Arverni are already a bit of a juggernaught, crazy naked guys
