Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I was wondering. With the new Medieval due very soon. Will the fans of STW migrate to Medieval and leave out the STW and MI?

We have seen this before and I was just curious to what or where you will all be spending your time with online.

Well STW is gone from my PC's hard disk for some time now.

Meanwhile i have got my game fix with my first RPG game (Baldurs gate: Shadow of Amn).

Right now, i'm playing an old Sid Meir's Strategy game that i just bought for $10.00 (That's about 3 cents american), the civil war collection (Gettysburg! Antianam! and a third battle added that i can't remember right now).

So this very long winded answer comes to yes, i will migrate to Med TW, in fact it's more like i will come back to the Total War series. But let's make this clear, it is THE game that i am waiting for....

As for 'migrating' I will probably migrate online to MTW, I'll still play STW just not online, unless of coarse many do stay online

I will migrate to M:TW but still play STW/MI until I am 100% sure that MTW is worth http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

I will no doubt migrate to MTW simply because I can't play STW or MI online.

If I can't play MTW online either im just gonna spam more, so why don't you all start the Get Toda online fund so you don't have to listen to it.

I will migrate to MTW, I havent played Shogun for 3 months or so.

I still love the game, but its lost its appeal. I think its the fact of some of the players online. However, the community is still strong, and I think it is fair to say it is a Total War community first and a Shogun community second.

'Tis like digging up a dead body from a grave and dumping it into a new grave, then asking it if it will move back to its original hole on its own.

You may say "Yes, I'll go back.", but you never will... Once I got MI, there was no reason to return... as long as it worked, anyways...

There is something called "learning curve". Once you get really familiar with one game, it might be a little hard to set your mind to play a completely diffrent one, especially if you have other obligations, such as, job.

So I'll stick with WE for a while, but once I get used to MTW, there probably will never be a turning back.

i haven't played STW in ages and since my PC crashed i haven't bothered reinstalling it either, in part due to the limited Gb i have and shogun is a big game.

So Medieval it is then.

Hmm....

Now I ask myself, Is it worth buying a game that will eventually be ruined by honourless newbies? or even worse a clan that will honour the dishonoured members...hmmm
But, I know I will get one due to the fact that M:TW would be the obvious next step.
But the vicious circle is still apparent.

Well, this is my first post so 'hi' to everybody. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

I will switch over the MTW once it's out, my main reason is that STW doesn't support GeForce 3 cards on intel mobo's, so it runs slow as anything. I do hope that the system specs for MTW support my type of system layout.

Heh, Actually the term 'First Knight' was used for all of the knights of the round table. They, being King Arthur's most trusted servants and protectors of Camelot, so really there can be more than one of us. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif I got the name from the movie First Knight, which BTW is great. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif :P

About the future of STW
As most should know the 7Bear7 Clan, Insane clan, and tenki clan have been keeping the STW forum alive whist at the same time being in MI.
However when Med comes out i know for a fact that 7Bear7 will be moving in force to Med and therefore there will be one less big clan in the STW forum.
I personnaly can see the end of STW coming in the near future, but looking back guys,--)
what a great game it turned out to be and i hope that people will keep the MI server alive!!
Look forward to seeing u all when Med comes out.
P.S. im thinking of openning a strand for all new and old clans moving into Med to say a small bit about themselves...like a little introduction so that the influx of new players can looka nd see what clan represents them best........what u all think to this??? plz post below.
take care all

I know this is a bit off-topic, but I find the "first knight" thing and the legend of King Arthur amusing.

1) King Arthur trusted and loved both Sir Lancelot and the queen;
2) Lancelot and the queen were doing each other;
3)Sir Lancelot was extremely loyal to King Arthur;
4) The queen loved both men.

Now what's with those medieval people? (See? I am talking about MTW total war after all)

Well, what an appropriate thread in which for me to announce to you all-- STW2 has arrived! More realism? More depth? You got it. More tactics? You got it. More fun? Yes, sir! The link is in my sig.

Kocmoc san,

1. It's anyones freedom to play any map (s)he likes.

2. Iron is the templete to start making new maps. An author wouldn't use old yellow pages to write a new novel either, would he?

I want to see this 'unrealistic' map.

Greetings, Syr Kuma, first Knight of the realm of MTW. You may remember me as one of your clan brothers from the Ratta clan. I do not currently play online, as the split of MI and STW caused a lot of problems. I plan to be on any sort of get the game first drop shipment, as this time period is near and dear to my heart (i do re-enactment). Looking forward to crossing swords and armies with all who purcahse this game. I also plan to have one of the first orders/guilds/clans/whatever they will be called.
